Binod Meme – The Origin Of The Trend

The origin of the Binod meme is when Indian Youtube pair Abhyudaya Mohan and Gautami Kawale uploaded a video titled “Why Indian Comments Section is Garbage” on their channel Slayy Point. In the video, Abhyudaya Mohan showed many screenshots of what the Indian Internet community posts in the comment section of Youtube videos. One of the screenshots from the video which went viral is a Youtube user “Binod Tharu” who just wrote Binod as a comment in a youtube video. Soon, youtube users started posting “Binod” comments on all Youtubers live streams which started the trend of Binod meme.
About the Youtube user Binod Tharu
The details of the user are unknown but the Tharu people are an ethnic group indigenous to the Terai in southern Nepal (mostly in Bheri and Lumbini) and northern India (mostly in Bihar, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh states).
About the action of Binod: This youtube user isn’t the first person to post his own name in the comment section. He must have imitated the idea from somewhere else or seen someone else doing the same thing. The psychology behind imitation is when we are uncertain about our own course of action or when uncertainty looms over our decisions. It generally occurs when we are trying to fit in.
About the trend: Since the youtube channel, Slayy Point roasted it pretty awesomely the users couldn’t hold themselves from repeating the same task as performed by the (not) original user. Of course, it is funny and irritating to others but we are just copying.
We understand your curiosity and yes, we are here to help you out to understand the craziness we Indians are getting while staying at home. 2020 is really a long year and it is full of memes, funny memes. From Baby Yoda meme to the Cat Meme, we have seen them all but in a bizarre incident, suddenly every comment box is spammed with Binod and twitter is full of Binod memes.

Why did Binod Tharu comment his name?

To know why did Binod Tharu comment his name as BINOD on a youtube video, we need to go back few weeks...  It all started with a video put out by YouTube channel Slayy Point, where creators Abhyudaya and Gautami decided to explore the comments section in one of their videos. Soon their sarcastic take on one such comment gave birth to a meme trend. On the July 15 video tilted “Why Indian Comments Section is Garbage (BINOD),” they showed their audience the bizarre and crude comments left by YouTube users. They noticed a comment by user Binod Tharu, who just wrote his name “Binod” under the videos, and it quite naturally baffled them.

A YouTube channel Slayy Point has recently uploaded a video titled “Why Indian Comments Section is Garbage (BINOD)” and the desi Indians got the meme material. The video shows how Indian Desi’s are spamming comment sections with one-liners, shayaris, poetries, Like this comment if you are watching in August 2020 and so many things. An account with the name “Binod Tharu” just commented only his name Binod in their last video, just to spam or to show his presence maybe.
The Channel is owned by Abhyudaya and Gautami. They figured out that comment and use it and several others to make their new video and it goes viral.
